Frequently asked questions.

Do you offer both in-person and virtual therapy?

Yes, we offer both. Our office is located on Washington Boulevard, bordering Culver City, Venice, Playa Vista and Marina del Rey in Los Angeles. We offer virtul therapy via Zoom throughout California.

What is a superbill?

A superbill is a detailed receipt that PPO plan holders can submit to their health insurance company for possible out of network reimbursement. The amount reimbursed depends on your individual health insurance plan.

How many therapy sessions will I need?

Everyone’s timeline is different, but many people begin noticing positive changes within the first few months of consistent weekly therapy. Deeper or longer standing patterns may take more time. Your therapist will check in with you along the way and shape the work around your goals.

What happens on the consult call?

The consultation is a brief phone call to learn what brings you in, answer your questions, and see whether Mellow feels like the right fit. We will also talk through therapist availability, scheduling, rates, and next steps.
