Frequently asked questions
How long until I’m healed? When will I see results?
The timeline for seeing results from therapy can vary greatly depending on your specific goals and the issues you are working through. Therapy is a journey, not a quick fix or one-stop destination. Progress and results will be gradual over time and require dedication and consistency.
Do you accept insurance?
No. We are an out-of-network provider and do not accept insurance. However, we provide superbills, which is an invoice you can submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. The exact reimbursement percentage will be dependent on your insurance.
Discover how much you could get reimbursed by using our benefits calculator.
Can you prescribe medication?
No. Only psychiatrists have the ability to prescribe medications, not therapists. However, your therapist can and may recommend you to a psychiatrist if they feel you could benefit from medication.
Who do I contact if I am running late or need to reschedule?
(310) 906-0257 is the number you can call if you are running late to your appointment or need to reschedule. However, please note the following policies:
Late Policy: If a patient is 15 minutes or more late to their scheduled appointment with no prior communication to the office or therapist, their appointment will be canceled and they will be charged the full session cost.
Reschedule Policy: Patients may reschedule their appointment up to 24 hours prior to its start time. Once the 24-hour window has passed, patients will be charged the full session cost. Patients can easily reschedule their appointments within the Simple Practice platform or call, text, or email us to reschedule.
What is your cancellation policy?
Patients may cancel their appointment up to 24 hours prior to its start time. Once the 24-hour window has passed, patients will be charged the full session cost.
What if I want to switch therapists after the first session?
Patients can switch therapists at any time if they feel their current therapist is not a good fit for them. To do this, patients can contact our office through phone or email. We will recommend the patient to another therapist at Mellow, or will provide a trusted 3rd party referral.
